Because Costas interviewed that steroids expert that said that Bonds is THE classic example of steroid use, and that it not only would help with the home runs- but evidence now shows it helps with batting average also! AND that there was NO WAY that Bonds didn't know what he was taking. Costas has stuck up for spoiled athletes to the point of being nauseating! Pretty low of Bonds to throw him under the bus!
Your thoughts?
Costas replied, "I'm 5'6" and weigh 150 pounds, and at least I got there honestly". LOL

Kianvis - Costas interviewed someone else who accused - that's his job! And 5'6" is no way a midget, just a couple of inches under average. Besides, accusing Bonds of steroids is like accepting the moon. You haven't been there or touched it, but you KNOW it's there - you can SEE it - just like you can see Bonds and read stats. and KNOW he's a juicer!

When are you guys going to come off of the stupid "never been caught" theory? HGH is undetectable! What is it about that, that you don't seem to understand?

Midget is offensive! What if Costas called Bonds a "big n*****"? The world would come to an end! I smell a double standard here!

I would like to comment on one part of this to support the steroid expert and jazbac's arguement about the roids helping with BA and hand eye cordination. When you are in your early 20's and have all the ingredients in your body to grow all the muscle you want and your reflexes are at the top of the game, steriods will accelerate the muscle growth process but your reflexes are pretty much intact. But once you age and get into your middle 30's (about the time Bonds became explosive and had a higher batting average) the roids WILL I repeat they WILL help stay the hands of time and keep your reflexes at a younger level. Steroid use has also been connected to joint and catilage deteriation. Sound familar to Bonds injuries over the past couple of years.

1. Costas is a midget, compared to the average human adult male. Also, he threw Bonds under the bus first with his steroid accusations.
2. Bonds got big by steroids? Maybe, but do you think he's the only one in MLB who ever did? These guys will do anything, because there are millions of dollars on the line and breaking the HR record is still a great accomplishment, 'roids or no.

Yet another step in this long, and expensive, slog toward one final public mudbath all over Bonds, which will end, in order of likelihood, with (a) acquittal, (b) dismissal of all charges, or (c) conviction with some slap-on-the-wrist penalty. Damn, this has been one foul witchhunt. About the only upside is that it appears to almost be over. This, specifically the legal case before the court, is not about what Bonds used. The charges are perjury and obstruction of justice, and thanks to the immensely sloppy grand jury questioning, Bonds is probably going to walk. Well, he is the career record-holder at doing that. Sure, the court of public opinion, always witless for the prosecution, wants Bonds found GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY of using "steriods". Get over yourselves, bumpkins -- he did. You got your pound of flesh years ago. Start dealing with it. That is not a core issue in this proceeding. The guvvermint has made a severely botched job of its case, and it probably (never trust a jury) will go down the drain. Geez, just let it end. ---------- As for the "celebrity has its privileges" meme -- hellfire, if this indictment was filed against Joe Doofus and not Barry Bonds, the entire mess would have been dropped years ago. It probably never would have reached indictment. The DOJ and Agent Novitzky were drooling at the possibility of nailing Bonds, and have done just about as many wrong things as possible without completely derailing the proceedings. Were it not Bonds, it never would have come this far.

Most people would agree that Bonds is a jerk and this is just another example of his personality. However, I find it very difficult to believe that the use of steroids would give anyone better hand and eye coordination and make you a better hitter. I sure would like to see what evidence you are talking about to support that position. Also, the only FACT involving Bonds is that he has been tested many times for the use of banned drugs and has never tested positive for any of them in the six years MLB and the players union have have had the testing program in place.

Yes. He called him "A little midget who knows (nothing) about baseball." BB's comments only show how ignorant he is about Costas -- one of the most well-informed baseball pundits.
Why didn't Bonds insult the steroid expert? The chicken wants NO part of that public debate.!!

he is a midget but he is still the man
I love the quote from Costas, I didn't hear about either of their comments until now.
Typical Bonds I guess.
Unions are so corrupt, and the workers don't even realize it, a local company had to borrow money because the Unions almost put them out of business, the local newspaper the unions got everyone to boycott and they had to make cuts.

I agree with Jax on unions but his comment on the president was pretty Barry Bonds like itself.

To anyone who questions whether Barry Bonds did steroids, you are a moron. He admitted that he used them to a Grand Jury. That is a fact. He got where he is by cheating.
To the person who questioned the effect of steroids on hand eye coordination, BB already had that, he was an amazing player before he cheated.
on a side note, jaxicle, why do you hate unions, they protect the worker and get him better benefits. I feel bad for anyone who works in a trade but isnt in a union. also this country was built on unions, in a lot of cases they are the only reason things get done. People arent gonna do the **** work unless they are well compensated for it, without unions no one would do the crappy stuff. Please become more informed before you bash unions.

Costas may be a lil midget, but if Bonds thinks he can call him that, then he shouldnt get mad when Costas calls him out for juicing. Notice he wont stick up for himself and say "im innocent", it just shows hes not innocent, and all of us non frisco flamers know hes not. In 20 years, when bonds is really aging and he gets all of this cancer and heart problems, then maybe hell feel bad for what hes done.

Barry Bonds is a jackass. Along with McGwire, Palmerio, Sosa, Canseco, Sheffield, and Giambi.
Don't tell me they didn't go from scrawny kids to freaks with heads the size of bobbleheads in proportion to their bodies because of all the hard work and working out, cause that's a crock of "you know what."
Schilling is right, Canseco ought to have all his records erased and all that because he at least admitted to doing it. Giambi did, in a sort of way, so he can play as long as he wants and his records should be thrown out after he retires, the rest are just guilty in the making.
Bud Selig is a screw up and should resign. He is MLB's version of George W. Bush.
Hire me as commish, I'd institute one strike and you're out. These guys are spoiled rotten babies. The Player's Union is a joke and Fehr is just like an ambulance chaser. No wonder why I hate unions and will never belong to one.
Baseball is in utter disarray, which is too bad, cause I love baseball.
Bonds needs to drown in the bay.

hahaha....I love the comment. Nobody in their right mind would get into a war of words with Bob Costas.
Barry: That little 5'5" midget who doesn't know anything about baseball....
Costas: I'm 5'6", about 150 lbs, and I'll tell you I got here naturally, unlike somebody.....
hahahahaha, good job Bob!!!
