My girlfriend's mother mentioned there was an "old wive's tale" explaining why there's an owl in every(?) Disney movie... but would never elaborate on *what* that tale was. Does anyone know? I cannot find anything, and lately I've been burning with curiosity... and she past away last winter, so I can't ask her any more.

I looked up the question on snoops and it says that there is a reoccurring theme of owls in the Disney movies. The owls are sometimes male and sometimes female. The Owls in the Disney movies represent wisdom, maturity and a deep compassionate heart.

Good question! I love Disney movies and have never really paid that much attention as to how many movies have the 'Wise Old Owl' in them.

As a teenager, Walt Disney was a member of the Order of DeMolay, a youth organization affiliated with Free Masons.

The owl is a freemason symbol. To learn more about the freemason search keywords: Bohemian Grove, owl statue, freemasons, masonic, Moloch

You mean owl characters or hidden symbols? Because I can't really think of any owl characters really. I don't remember seeing an owl in the Lion King, Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast or any of the Pixar movies. What movies did you have in mind?

Owls are a symbolism of Illuminati (a very large secret society made up of the elite, politicians, bankers etc that runs our country behind closed curtains. ) There even is this owl symbol hidden in the one dollar bill. (check out Michael Tsarion's You Tube videos on hidden symbols in media). Many of the owners of biggest companies in America are members of Illuminati...of which, Disney is rumored to be one. By putting these symbols in films, logos, commercials etc it is communication between them...but for those out of the "brotherhood" don't have a clue. The truth is getting exposed though...truly you must research Tsarion's work. You may not agree on some of his theories...but his research on Illuminati, Symbolism and America's history is right on.

The only old wife's tale about owls that I know of is:

If you see an owl wherever, like for example in a tree on your roof etc someone is going to die....

Owl is a symbol of the Freemasons/Illuminati... It represents wisdom, secrecy, and elitism; everything those groups stand for. Disney is likely associated with those groups as well.

suggest you don't believe everything the answerer's here say regarding the owl and the Free and Accepted Masons. for their information may be misunderstood. I have just checked to verify information in the Encyclopedia of Freemasonry volume 2 written by Albert G. Mackey 33 degree and Charles T. McClenachan 33 degree and there is NO REFERENCE to any use of the Owl in any Masonic Ritual.

however, the owl can either be a bringer of wisdom or a bringer of death. depending upon the culture and society one belongs to. check various Native American, First Nation, Celtic, Germanic cultures for further information.
