According to this website it does. I have not tried it myself. It was cheaper for me just to rent a cellphone there. Here is the website for renting a phone as well as romaing partners in Korea. For SK Telecom Smart is included in the list for roaming

I'm curious Black Hat/Migs have you tried it yet??? Check out this website Black Hat it seems that this person is roaming using Smart in Korea. I know it for post-paid but it should be the same for Buddy. I guess the only really way to find out is to try it.
