I was thinking about the pressure the kicker comes under in a tense potential game winning situation when away from home. The crowd noise must be deafining and must put them off, obviously QB's have the radio in their helmets, so would it be legal for them to wear ear plugs to drown out the noise?

haha thats a good idea. I never thought about it. The problem would be that they couldn't hear the snap count tho. I believe it is legal.

Of course they can. But QB's don't, because they must react to whatever they can hear, to wear ear plugs would be a total disadvantage, if he was unable to hear.

Of course they are. I dont know if they would though. They still want to be able to hear the players around them.
