I whole heartedly concur, what the heck are you talking about?

The US government certainly doesn't have a negative attitude towards our closest ally, Britain and doesn't have a negative attitude toward the French Government. Just because we may not like their actions or because they don't like our actions, doesn't mean that our governments are unfriendly towards each other.

If you are speaking of the PEOPLE's attitudes towards each other, be it America, France or England, you can not classify their attitudes in one single sentence stating that all americans hate all franks or vice versa. The USA has a population of 300 million people, to classify a large population as having one mind on ANY subject is both ignorant and unsupportable, for it is IGNORANCE that allows into human feeling the ideas of bigotry(i am better than you because of who or what I am)

Grow up and do not make sweeping generalizations towards people.

Hmmm - - - could jump down your throat like other answerers and call you an idiot for not having a grasp of history but heck less than half of all American's actually dig into history despite the growing popularity of the History Channel which has largely abandoned its original intention iof education in favor of a more recreational stance.

That Said - - - here is something to ponder // two hundred years ago the majorority of Americans were English, which includes the so call Scots-Irish who were Protestcents and not to be confused with the Catholic Irish who swarmed in after 1820- - - - and Germans, lots & lots of Germans....

As of 2007 the majority of Americans are Hispanic and African-American with a Swiftly Growing Number of Chinese and Indians from India - - - with those of English etc stock swiftly becoming the minority....

The French have rarely played into the mix. They were 'thanked' for their help during the Revolution but have always found a way to fall out of fashion and less than 3 % of Americans can claim French Heritage...

But most Americans are proud of their British Heritage and largely forgive them for the deeds that spark the Revolution...

Germans were loud proud Americans until the trauma of World War One and then Two - - - but still raise their heads in October when they invited everyone to join them in drinking galllons of beer and chomp down on sausages & saurkraut.

The French make convenient targets - - - credit their 'arrogance' funny accents and women with hairy arm pits.

At the end of WWII, we were the one super power, even if Russia was threat, we were the only country that did not suffer loses of land or colonies. We could basically tell everyone what to do. Now these countries are back on the feet, and do not want to do what America tells them. They are becoming independent, and have bee doing so beginning in the 1960s. This has been culture shock for the Americans, such as disagreeing with us, or actually lobbying in the UN for a vote against us.
