Live target practice

2007-07-27 01:03:26 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 5 5

1. To entertain humans by performing amazing acrobatics in trying to get to food deliberately put in difficult to reach places. Affords me hours of very cheap entertainment.

2. To annoy cats. Also great fun watching a cat try and chase a squirrel.

3. To give the fire brigade real live practise - a squirrel that was nesting in a local house roof chewed through an electric cable this caused a fire. More cheap entertainment watching the fire brigade put the fire out - very sad though for the people whose house was now a ruin.

4. Food source for Crows, Magpies as they get to dine out when a squire ll doesn't get out of the way of a car.

What's the point in anything? Squirrels actually do alot of cleaning up. They are always eating stuff. If that stuff was not to be eaten, we'd have a lot of extra stuff lying around.

To keep the tree population going (all those unclaimed nuts the goofy critter hide sprout into trees) and, the main purpose:

to tease your dog while he/she is out in the garden.

Nuts

Certain trees are propagated primarily by squirrels. They bury the nuts and forget to dig them up, or bury more than they need. The forgotten ones sprout and grow up.

I'm sure if a squirrel could speak it would say "What's the point of George TFPGH?"
