The philosophy behind this concept is known as the doctrine of Anekantavada which has been aptly and explicitly clarified in the Jaina doctrines (the teachings of Jainism)! On the scientific scale this theory was termed by the famous physicist Albert Einstein as, "the theory of relativity" which simply means that everything in the cosmic system exists in relative context of one another! The theory of relativity administered by Albert Einstein is applicable in daily life!
And what is this theory of relativity? In simpler terms if one train traveling at speeds of 60 kilometers an hour crosses another train (traveling at 50 kilometers an hour) in exactly the same direction then for the people sitting in the second train (that is speeding at 50 kilometers an hour) the train moving at 60 kilometers an hour will appear traveling at speed of 10 kilometers an hour... as if moving very slow!
And for the people sitting in the train at 60 kilometers an hour... the second train would appear as stationery... rather not moving at all! This analogy has been made explicitly clear in the doctrine of Anekantavada of Jainism. The same person as per the doctrine of Anekantavada can have different Statuses... some may call him one a father, other son, one as brother, others as friend and so on! How come one person is addressed in so many forms and all being true!
The doctrine of Anekantavada is also known as the theory of non-one-sidedness! The potentiality of this theory reflects in the fact that all communities... followers of all religions live in harmony... considering one another as different attributes of the same Almighty God. We all know that our soul atman is God Almighty in minuscule form residing within our heart! The concept of unity in diversity is entirely based upon the doctrine of Anekantavada!
While traveling the spiritual path... in the final stages of my spiritual career I got stuck up! Nowhere else to go I simply pondered over and over! Nothing came to my rescue! I was simply lost! One day wife of a cousin gave me a book on Mahavira... the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism. In this book Mahavira explicitly explained the essence of doctrine of Anekantavada. The moment absolute truth dawned upon me I realized God! I finally reached the end portal of God! Nowhere else to go... I shall gain salvation (moksha) in this very life... a point of no return!
In practical life we must always assess things from different points of view. Sometimes we may be right... at other times the person across the table may be right! Every single human being has a hidden ingredient of God Almighty within in the form of our soul atman. We simply cannot neglect and enforce our point of view all the time! It is only then we arrive at the right solution! In absence of the correct analysis... the results may be biased and wrong! happier???...well...it depends upon you actually, but in my opinion, if you only see the way you want to see, you see nothing but "you", when you only see it like the others see, you see everything but "you". so it depends upon the situations and circumstances, the way you want to see.
its always wise to see the way the other see it as well as the way YOU see it, in the variety of people, you are also included, you yourself is an individual, and you also have a different angle of viewing it, so look at it from all sides ,that is, the way the others see it and also the way you see it and then Decide, which is the Best....that will be happier and satisfying..
:)

Yes my dear, This world is an illusion for each of us. The world where we can see, hear, touch, smell and taste is our world and Great Rishis advised us to make up your world a fine one, so the whole world would be one and the God would be with you. Do not see the things from others' view, but see it from the real view of you. Find out the genuine you, the real you, I wish you best of luck.

Being a shape-shifting coyote I have noticed there are many points of view, this must be allowed or the scared river could not flow, however this can act as a veil of the one truth. The wheel turns constantly but at the center *being* is watching.....watching.

ofcourse v need 2 consider things from others point of view, its only just .but then again v hav a duty towards our own selves more than what v ever owe to others.so... though u may consider percieving things from others point of view, it isnt any necessary 2 act as per it.....and therz no hard & fast rules 4 happiness....cant say which wll end up better at last. but then ....life is a gamble , u make decisions on the basis of ur beliefs , or for some its their gut instincts . vatever it is , understand wat ur priorities r , wat u want out of life.decisions wld b easier 2 make then.

You see the way you see
They see the way they see.
Let it be that way,
Let it be.
If you are convinced you are right, stand your ground. However once in a while, try seeing things from another point of view. This way, things may become clearer.

e that your point of view will always make yourself happy all the time.
In cases of pain, agony, and betrayel, if you take the point of view of the subject undergoing it, i guess our own point of view would be much more happier

I think it is very important for every1 to be in another persons shoes, and feel how he/she is feeling.
If not, it is tough for any1 to understabd how they feel, what they feel and why they feel
Again, its not always possible that your point of view will always make yourself happy all the time.
In cases of pain, agony, and betrayel, if you take the point of view of the subject undergoing it, i guess our own point of view would be much more happier
Glad you asked such a question
never thought of it before

perfect judgement is possible, when we see things in different angles, not necessarily with other's point of view. looking at things on other's point of view is one of the ways of analysing things. there are other ways also to arrive into a possible perfect judgemet. but sticking to one's own view is a dangerous attitude!
