My Maya will never leave me
The illusions are enveloping
My ignorance is so thick
That I can cut it like a cake.

This seems to be saying you will find joy when you see yourself for what you are and accept it without trying to change it regardless of whether it is good or bad.
I disagree. I think if you are able to see/know your faults, you should try to better yourself. If you see/know there are areas you are OK in but would like to improve, you should.
It doesn't mean I'm trying to become something else, only that I am trying to become a better me.

So, basically, you're saying that you have to accept yourself completely, the good and the bad, to be happy?
I agree; I mean, I think if you can change some of the "bad" and become a healthier or better person, you should try, but otherwise, that makes perfect sense.

I do see only low light and high light - no darkness; low heat and high heat - no cold ; less knowledge and more knowledge - no ignorance.
