hello im married to a turkish man and we are trying for a baby, he wants turkish names but i dont like any boys turkish names as they are all memmet, mahmut, abdula, okkes, ali, fatih so i wouldnt like any like that. If we have a girl we will call her ayse after his mum which is nice and english people can say it. So any ideas for a boy got to be turkish and can be understood to us english and not hard to say.

Cem ( it's pronounced like English Jam)
Can ( almost like English John)
Kubilay ( Koo-bee-lye)
Cenk ( Jank)
Vural (Voo-ral)
Erol (nearly like Errol)

Except for Kubilay, they're all very modern names, and none of them has a religious meaning;)

Deniz. There are many. My Turkish/Kurdish step son found an Internet site. Try Googling Turkish first names.
If it's a girl, how are you going to spell Ayse? (It's pronounced Eyesheh in Turkish) I can imagine English speakers pronouncing it Ehseh or even Ace. Sorry, I don't have access to the Turkish alphabet.

Have a good friend who is a Brit but nationality is Turkish. His name is Ergin which I think is a nice name
(the "g" is a hard g like in the word again, not like like in the alcohol gin)
AND easy for English-speakers to say!

Dimitri is a nice turkish name and Sava but I think this last one might be more Cypriot than Turkish.

Good Luck x
