I couldn't handle being famous so fortune would be my choice.

I'd say fortune because I couldn't handle all the paparazzi outside waiting for me to pick up the milk outside my door at 7 in the morning. Fame can lead to fortune though so fame isn't a bad thing altogether...but fortune does it for me

Fortune obviously... I can't stand the desperate, untalented fame wannabees. However I'm already well on the road to fortune.

With fame, one can accumulate a fortune anytime. But, by merely having a fortune, you cannot exactly buy genuine fame !
...So, my choice is Fame - thank you !

Fame, though it would be hard and honestly earned. Fortune could be ill-gotten and it would not be worthwhile being famous for.
