You have to put that internal HDD into a case like this:

You can then attach it to any PC or laptop w/ a USB port. It is practically plug and play in Win XP SP2.

you can do it.
Buy an external HDD casing (should cost you around INR700 for IDE Hard drive case) ,
Install your hard disk in the case by connecting data cable and power cable from the case to your hard drive.
Close the case n then connect it to the power supply and then to your computer thru usb with the provided cables.

it is possible but u need a types cable

yeah its possible, but its required special type of cable which is easily available in market within 500Rs.
