The award-winning photo you speak of: "This terrified baby was almost the only human being left alive in Shanghai's South Station after a brutal Japanese bombing. China, August 28th, 1937.

Look in for the photo in Wikipedia under Second Sino-Japanese War.

*To those who still think the Japanese were the victims when the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan, many western historians put the Chinese casualties (civilian and military) of the Second Sino - Japanese War (1937 - 1945) at 20 million. Chinese sources say 35 million. When will the people here begin to ask if it was the right decision for Japan to invade China and begin this war??
