Ok, so we're talking about RAM here, which of these Graphics card is better:

1.Nvidia 7600 128mb Ram
2.Nvidia 7300 256mb Ram

Let's look at the RAM, is there a difference between these two in performance and also game speed? will it run supreme commander at maybe the medium settings?

Well the 7300 has double the RAM which is used for loading textures, but the 7600 has considerably faster core/clock speeds, which makes a much bigger difference in games.

It's better to have a fast 256mb card than a slow 512mb card. You'll find that many low-priced graphics cards have DDR2 memory, which is much slower than DR3. But these days it makes no sense to buy a 128mb card of any sort.

The best answer is...

3. none of the above - get a 7600GT 256mb for about $78 after rebate.

The 7300 will not need to access the Ram memory as much as the 7600 to run programs but then there is the difference in processing power of the two cards. so hard to tell without actually running the program.

256Mb is usually optimum for many games but 128Mb ddr3 could beat 256Mb ddr2 on the same GPU and similarly, 256Mb ddr3 beats 512Mb ddr2.
I've stopped buying graphics card w/ ddr2 videoram. The higher cost of cards w/ ddr3 v-ram is worth it.
