It's filmed on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. In fact, where they film it.....once the plane was onsite at the beach and all the luggage and scrap metal strewed about, it could be seen from a major highway. They had to make sure that all residents were aware it was a TV show and not for real! I believe they had to post road signs. It was a disturbing site for passerby's!

If I'm not mistaken, the filming of lost took place in Hawaii. I have watched a behind-the-scenes settings on tv before. But I'm not sure which part of Hawaii.
