or nothing
you should have flirted back

This also happened to me once.
But be careful.
I mistakenly bought a drink, walked over to her table, and sat down, at which point she said, "What the HELL are you doing???"
I told her, "Um...you winked at me."
She told me she was winking at a friend of hers who was a waiter there, he was behind me pouring water for the people at the next table.
I looked like a damn fool.
And my girlfriend at the time stormed out of the place, went home and locked me out of the apartment.
She thought I was a jerk.
Can you believe that???
The best advice I can give is learn from other peoples' foolish mistakes.
