Hi,

If you mean Q = 20K^.1*L^.9 then I entered

20*20^.1*50^.9 and pressed ENTER. This gave 912.4435366. I hope that is the value you wanted for Q.

I hope that helps!! :-)

Q=20*(K^0.1)*(L^0.9)
K^0.1 is n-th root from K where n=10 K=20
(0.1=1/10)
L^0.9 is k-th root from L^9 where k=10 L=50
(0.9=9/10)
and if you want to solve it with calc, you should use scientific calculator or the app. Microsoft Excel.

Just substitute the numbers into the formula
and remember the rules of BODMAS

powers first then multiplying

do the K^0.1 = 20^ 0.1

then store your answer in memory or write it down and multiply it by L^0.9 = 50^0.9

then multiply your answer by 20

Q = 20 x K^(0.1) x L^(0.9)
Q = 20 x 20^(0.1) x 50^(0.9)
Q = 20 + 1.4 + 33.8
Q = 55 . 2
Explanation
On my (rather old!) calculator,
to calculate 50^(0.9), the following buttons were used:-
50
y^x
0.9
