It depends on the downside.
1 chance in a million of jumping a motorcycle over the Grand Canyon, forget it.
1 chance in a million of a $1 ticket winning $100 million in the lottery, well I might do that.

It depends on how much my goal means to me, if it has something to do with my children i would try it even if i knew i only had one chance in a million, if it would benefit my kids enough, if it was important enough because it had to do with one of them , then , yes.

depends... one chance out of a million to find true love? i suppose it'd be worth the effort. one chance out of a million to live after jumping off a cliff? not so much

As long as there is still a chance then it's worth trying.

I cant count past ten. So, I'll probably do it. And not because I want to be a hero. It's only because I wont be aware of the odds. As they say, "Fools rush in where wise men never go."

Yes; and I don't give up. Not exactly the role model I'd like to set to the young; but fight for your beliefs and even if you lose; you'll always be a winner.

If course, because if you get it then that will be great , but if not them at least you took the chance and it's not wasted because you can't do it again.

some answer referred to jumping of cliffs ng grand canyon...
If I had one chace in a million to get something I really wanted... yes.
Even if it meant jump of a cliff.
I've learned to regret only those decisions I haven't made.
