I have always thought that nothing can be any greater than happiness. So when I saw this title, I quickly opened this window in high hopes of seeing some responses that would be greater than happiness. But, I was both disappointed and relieved that there is notthing.
Trust, love, hope, peace, wisdom, existence, joy, safety... these things aren't things that are greater than happiness.. they only LEAD to happiness, which is the greatest thing.

Breath.
Breath of Life.
Without it there is no life, no happiness, no peace, no harmony, nothing.
No question. The ancients have known this before the written word. Breath IS life. Without breathing, there is no experience of life itself. One can not experience happiness without the Breath.
In the Hawaiian language they frequently greet one another with "aloha." How did that word come into existence?? A blending of sounds and meanings.
The "......lo....." represents Breath.
Breath is Life.
Life was devinely designed to have Breath.
Life was devinely designed to have Happiness.

Some people think the point of life is happiness,
But the point of happiness is life.
Happiness evolved to drive us animals toward biological success.
Our friend Camry is correct. (at least from a male perspective)
A bed full of women is the point.
Happiness is just here to get us into that bed.

Not really. I would say it is Joy. That might seem like squabbling over semantics, but I think a search for Joy is different than the search for happiness that all men are inextricably bound to by their nature and essence.
