I wouldn't worry about it buddy - 5'1" should be plenty tall to ride a "scooty". Good luck.

Size does not matter as long as you get a bike that fits. My son started riding when he was 4 years old.

Choose a bike the you can sit on with the balls of both
your feet on the floor.
A lighter machine that fits you is easier to learn on.
