I'm thinking of attending Biola University but I don't want to spend my whole time just taking bible classes, does anyone knowhow many classes (semesters, ect...) are required?

I just looked at their catalog, and believe it or not, they require 30 units (that's 10 classes) of Bible study as part of their general education program! They do define themselves as offering bible-centered education, so they are true to their word. There are a lot of religious-based schools which you could go to without necessarily buying into their philosophy; this clearly isn't one of them.

Biola is a fundamentalist Christian university and is extremely conservative. I know a girl who went there and they drill narrow-mindedness into the students' heads. She came back from a semester doing a mission in China, and had never learned a word of Mandarin, ate zero native food (it was KFC and McDonalds every day), and remarked,"I feel so sorry for all those people who will never get into heaven". It seems to me that every religion has its own concept of an afterlife, and Christians DO NOT have the only door in! A university education is supposed to broaden a person's horizons, not narrow it. She was much more open-minded before she went to college, and now her reasoning defies logic. I certainly would NOT recommend Biola if you wish to learn more about the wider world; go someplace else (like Westmont or Thomas Aquinas), and do your bible study at church!

I don't think it's very many. I have a friend who goes there right now and I think it's just like 9 hours (3 classes)....if it's a religious based school then duh you'll have to take them.
If you don't want to don't go....they never make you take alot just a few
