Yes. It's ALL over the Bible as early as Genesis. I'm not an expert, but I think most other religions frown upon it too.

Well if being Gay is a sin, then does that mean Straight is sin free??? Straight people never commit a sexual sin, even though they are a practicing heterosexual???
It is not black and white. There are things I have done in my past as a Gay Man that I would say, "Yes, that was a sin", however, there are plenty of things I have done that I don't believe was a sin. Loving a person intimately, and caring for them affectionately, is not a sin. Many times, I have made love, not just wham bam sex.

This is an issue that lots of young guys have to overcome. The Bible is a set of stories which where meant to be interpreted so that people could live a good life. If you study these texts, the one thing that stands out above all, and which has been confirmed to me by several Catholic priests and nuns that I have spoken too, and that is that God loves everyone, Jesus surrounded himself with the outcasts of society, and I bet if being gay had been an issue that made you a social minority in his time, he would also have surrounded himself with gay people. I am no theologian, but being gay and catholic myself I have studied this issue and decided myself that, only God judges sin, not people, and I'm sure that the god i know loves and accepts me.

(Disclaimer: From the way I interpret the Christian Bible)
No, but acting on it is because that is an act of fornication, and since a marriage is essentially a way of God saying "Okay!" to a union, and since he won't say "okay!" to a gay union, any sexual relations that come are, as I said, fornication, which is a sin. But being gay in mind is not because thats not really something a person can help. It's sad and unfair but that's life. Gluttony is a sin too so that's unfair for people who naturally love food, ya know?

It seems to me, since you are asking this question; you already know it is a sin. There is a difference between "being true to yourself" and realizing there is more to life than the here and now.
Fact is that we will all die and since no one has come back, to tell us that there is no such thing as facing G-d's Judgment or Eternal Life. All we can rely on is G-d's Words of warning to us, about the consequences of living sinful lives and disobeying His Law.
You ultimately have to weigh all of that in your mind, heart, and soul. And decide if it is better to have a temporary joy in this life, which goes against the Law of G-d and our human anatomy (think about what is involved) or experience eternal joy by living within His Laws?
I personally don't think anyone is "born gay", if that were the case our body would be made to "enable" that kind of relationship. Without the need of the opposite sex or using certain other parts of our body, which have a totally different function -- don't you think?

Some people say it is. Personally I don't think so. I am a mother of three children. If either one told me they were gay I would still love them and I believe God would to. God created each of us and I don't beleive he makes mistakes. God says judge yea not, so why should people judge you. I was taught by loving parents that as long as you feel you are not sinning then it is not a sin. Everyone has their own opinion on this subject, but I wish people would remember that God loves everyone. Hope this helps you.

Yes, my intention is not to hurt or offend you but to inform you or to direct you for the sake of your eternal life.
Well I know this because I read bible. It says there that unless you change you will never enter the kingdom of God. My point is you should think of yourself in the near future (eternal life) because nobody does really no do exact time, and date Jesus will be coming back....
you still have the oppurtunity to have a change.
Well to find a change you must find Jesus first. Because He alone can change your life not with money or something else....
Where you can find Him? Well there's alot of spreading christian fellowship actually Born Again Feloowship.. Well I am not recruiting you to be a born again its your choice anyway. But my purpose is to direct your crooked path.... Where serving God by these means..
Don't think that I'm talking alot of nonsense well you should try first nothing will you loose if you attend anyway just have a try..
I hope i didn't offended you or hurt your beliefs but I just want to say have it for a change... Believe me attending fellowship would have a great change on your life... This is something that we profit in life for free... forgiveness for our sins along with a change in life...

The whole sin thing is in the book of Leviticus. That means it's wrong for a priest to be gay. The churches will say it applies to everyone though.

God says - he hates the sin - but loves the sinner. Satan is so very slick and sly in trying to convince us that what is do is okay. But we cannot come to God presenting our bodies in defilement. Our bodies are a temple, where He wants to reside. How can He, who loves us so much dwell where sin is? He can't. We must repent of our sin and turn away and not do it anymore.

some people will argue that it's not but others will argue that it is. from what i've learned, it is.
however, this should not give us the right to treat them any differently than how we treat straight people. the christian people who are so against gays [and are pretty much trying to be the "hand of god" ] are really creating a sin against themself.

Yes according to the Bible, the Torah and the Koran.
But you are what you are,and if being gay is comfortable for you so just stick to your own self. You didn't ask God to make you to be gay didn't you? So its not your fault. Be yourself.
Good luck!
