Depends on why you have the high blood pressure, because I am a herbalist. I can't give a suggestion until I know all the fact's associating with the high blood pressure, other than that I would tell you get some omega 3's, and do a cleansing program, such as one that has bentonite and liquid Chlorophyll (no chlorophyll)if you take blood thinners only the best of Natural Apple Juice, less salt, no pork, no pop,and Lot's of green's and salad's for cleaning the blood, however, (if your taking blood thinners no green's either), your choice, email me if you would like more info, however I will not be available again until after 7:00 pm tomorrow unless this is a desperate situation then I have no choice.. smile ( blessing)

It's not so much what you eat as what you don't eat. Avoid stimulants like coffee, tea, and Coke--anything with caffiene in it. Avoid alcohol, which is also a stimulant. Cut out fat and salt--this includes all fast food, and most commercially prepared sauces etc.

Eat a healthy diet of fresh, unprocessed food whenever possible. Cut back on meat and dairy products and make sure you get a good amount of whole grains, fruit and vegetables. Make sure you drink plenty of water and get good sleep time in.

Avoid stress where possible. If you know that certain situations, relationships etc create a lot of stress for you, now is the time to make decisions and distance yourself from these stressful elements as far as possible.

Exercise will also help regulate blood pressure as getting fit reinforces your cardiovasculary system.

Grape-seed 150mg a day.

I read an article within the last year (probably WebMD) where they did a study on high blood pressure.

One group took a placebo, one took 150mg and one took 300mg.

The placebo group's blood pressure didn't change. The other two groups had the exact same results, lowered blood pressure. There are benefits the the grape seed extract if you include regular exercise...the benefits are even better.

((There was no difference in 150mg or 300mg a day. Therefore, 150mg seems to be key.))

I gave it a try and added more movement to my day...and it's working! (Exercise helps to relieve stress.)

Peace and grace to you!

Well first of all, hopefully you aren't having problems with your blood pressure. If it's something serious as high blood pressure... I would go and see a physician... I even know herbal doctors are great if you want to stick to the vitamins.

i just went through this. i stopped taking my bloog pressure meds after seven years cause I couldn't stand them anymore. Now I've been using mega doses of potassium and magnesium. It works. I had the doctor prescribe them - he ordered potassium cL 20 MEQ tab Sa (whatever that means) and I take one or two a day. Also, if you take any type of diuretics, those drain you of potassium - so try to cut back on usage or make sure you keep up the potassium load. You can't enough from eating bananas, I promise.

It's amazing how quick it brought it down.

The best herb with the quickest results is Marijuana. If you live in Maine or California, or other states where it is legal to prescribe it, you're golden. If not, it's your body not the government's and you should do as your conscience dictates. This herb lowered my pressure from 158 over 110 to 115 over 76 in 2 minutes. I do not take any other medication for BP. My whole family has the curse. They all take medication. Three of my mother's sisters have died lately from kidney malfunction due to too much medication over time.-This is the leading cause of death in the elderly lately.

I work with a lady that had a serious high blood pressure problem and her medications cost her a small fortune over the months, cause she had to use it every day for the rest of her live,, until I prescribed an alternative for her. Now she doesnt need anything,, her blood pressure has completely stabilized.

Use this mix 3 times a day for at least one month,, generally decreasing your medication,, and after 3 weeks of drinking this tea,, stop using you medication,, unless you feel the symptoms return,, then use it just once. Continue doing this until the herbs have stabilized your blood pressure.

Here are extracts from a book I am writing to explain all the qualities of the different herbs and how to use them.

To make a tea use preferably fresh herbs, and use about 2 teaspoons of each and let simmer for 5 to 10 minutes then strain and drink.

You eventually get use to the taste. LOL.

For high blood pressure:
Combine in tea format: Garlic, Ginger, Yarrow/Milfoil, Hawthorn/May Tree (Leaves, Flowers and Berries), Elder (Leaves, Flowers and Berries).
NOTE: Add peppermint or honey to better the taste,, never sugar or milk,, it destroys the good qualities of any tea.

Also stay away from Liquorice or anything containing is, not good for anyone suffering from high blood pressure.

•Garlic (Allium Sativum)
Use Corns
Is a powerhouse, like concentrated sunshine. Boosts circulation and drives out cold and damp. Wards off infections of all kinds as the pungent oil is effective against Bacterial, Viral and Fungal infections. Also helps kill infections from tummy bugs to parasites. Is currently being researched for its ability to deal with some of the antibiotic-resistant super bugs that lurks in hospital wards. In the blood it lowers cholesterol and so helps prevent and treats arteriosclerosis and high blood pressure. It reduces blood clotting which is valuable in the prevention of strokes and recovering after having one. CULINARY: Helps cleanse the digestive system and stimulates the release of digestive juices, so you make better use of your food. CAUTION: If taking blood thinning drugs like aspirin or warfarin, check with your doctor since you may have to reduce the dose of the drugs.

• Yarrow/Milfoil (Achillea Millefolium)
Use Arial parts
Is a spine-stiffener, usefull when facing a difficult task. Causes peripheral blood vessels to dilate, so it warms up hands, feet and skin and cools down the core of the body, which is usefull in management of fever. Helps the body’s natural effort to deal with infections, like flu and chest infections, by producing a sweat. COMBINES well with, Sambucus, Mentha Peperita or Zingiber. Also helps bring down high blood pressure and in the long term it will normalize blood pressure so there will be no need for drugs. COMBINE with Crataegus or Tilia.

Hawthorn/May Tree (Crataegus Oxyacanthoides)
Use Leaves, Flowers and Berries
Is a heart helper, in any situation where the heart is need of support. It helps to normalize heart function, bringing it to maximum efficiency. Thus usefull where there is heart failure or weakness, irregular heart beat or palpitations, but cannot correct valve defects. Does have a tonic effect on the walls of the blood vessels, so is very valuable to those suffering from arteriosclerosis and its symptoms, like angina and intermittent claudication. Abnormal blood pressure, high or low, will respond well to it. COMBINES well with Achillea, Tilia and Viscum. Will also benefit veins and arteries, helping with varicose veins, varicose eczema and phlebitis. COMBINES well for this with Calendula, Aesculus and Achillea. CULINARY: Young leaves can be eaten raw. Berries can be made into a liqueur with brandy and conserves used to be made from them. CAUTION: Is always wise to seek professional help with potentially serious conditions. Herbs can be very effective, alone or with drugs, but its worth having expert advise.

Peace be within you
