Did you have a CB radio and if so what was your 'handle'???

Some great answers so far!!
By the way I used to go out as Tiger Eyes and Mahogony (put on a sexy west-country accent for that one!!)
And there was a girl who used to go out as Miss Piggy and apparently I sounded just like her - so you can imagine the fun I had with that!! Lol!!

Ah the memories, think mine was an amstrad cant remeber though
1-4, 1-4 for a copy any breakers any takers, come back.......

Handle was Dream Machine,

I was somewhat naive at 10 years old, I was referring to the "Silver Dream Machine" which was a motorbike In a David Essex song i think didn't realise there was possible lust overtones or connections to hallucinogens.....Oh to be ten again when cynicism and world wisdom hadnt removed much of the fun from life..........

Yes I did, but didn't really use it much. The CB-radio "craze" had pretty much passed by then.

However, now I use "recreational class" radios made by Motorola - an SX700, which at the time I bought it was the best in its class. They claim a range of 12 miles, but that is under absolutely perfect conditions (no obstructions, no humiditiy = the desert!). More realistically its about 1 - 2 miles depending on conditions and location. In a very urban setting with a lot of high rise buildings, its even less. They are very handy, but the limited range is kind of a problem. Once they are paid for you don't have to pay a cell phone company a fee, but you won't be talking to anybody outside of its range. It also has a feature where you can connect it to a computer, so someone with an internet connection can talk to you via their computer, which is kind of cool, but I've never used this - its a separate accessory that has to be bought and does not come with the computer. I guess its time I tried it out! LOL!!! Also, you HAVE to have TWO of them or you will be talking to no one you probably know! Mine cost about $70 US, each.

Red Robin - it was a bit innocent but i was only like 10 years old.

We had it in our car... it was pretty cool at the time. And at home too. I even had a meet. I forget most of the terms now... oh and a few eyeballs, where we met up with others who we spoke to on the CB.
