I found some wireless networks on my laptop entitiled as unsecured network .. it says information sent over this network might be visible everyone... what does that mean ?

Unsecured network means everyone can use this network. like, everyone who wants to use that network may use it. With that said, the above statement now makes sense right?

An unsecured network is a network that is uprotected with encryption such as WEP or WPA. Anyone can use this network, as long as the signal can be picked up by the computer. Hope this helps!!!

It is probably connections being picked up from someone elses comp. My laptop shows those too.

it means with time your computer is a little more likely to be hacked if someone else connects to it.And if you have a firewall,anit-virus,etc. it should be perfectly safe to connect to.
