You could try:
1. Hairspray and a damp rag
2. Mr Clean Extra Strength Magic Eraser

Go to your florist (or florist wholesale supplier who usually sell some to the public) and ask if they "Mess Master". The can has a little kids' hand prints all over it, suitable right? Its by the the company Design Master.
As a florist I used this stuff on a weekly (and at times daily) basis. Its safe enough to use on your hands (if you wash them after wards of course). However it doesn't smell that wonderful(obnoxious as a permanent marker).
Of course, test it somewhere inconspicuous first, but I don't think I've ever used it on anything that it couldn't handle!
Good luck!

in school [When using Sharpies]
we'd get in Big Trouble getting it on our desks
and we'd have to pay to get it off which Never Really Came off with the Expensive Cleaners or anything
one day i got some on it and didnt want to pay
Soo I just took A pink Eraser and started erasing!
And it Came right off Teach never knew! :D

I have the same thing on my kitchen as I was going to lay down tiles. It seems that bleach may be your answer. If not, there are sponges that have some kind of ingredient that will erase them. Ask your nearest home retailer such as Home Depot or Lowes.
