Yes, you can count this as something you did in high school. I wouldn't count anything before this summer, and you need to show that this wasn't all you did until you apply to college.

I would say that the summer before high school year would be the absolute earlies you should count things for college, unless you've been volunteering into your high school years at the same place (like if you've been volunteering at one place from when you were in sixth grade until you are a junior in high school, etc.)

Yes this does count for college. Colleges like to see what kind of things that you volunteered for and that you are making a difference. I applied for an internship and they wanted me to put what work i did in highschool. good luck in the future

You can put down as long as you want.. I volunteered 10000 hours and it helped a lot... The important thing is what you did as a volunteer... I volunteered in the Veterans Hospital.. Got me a lot of brownie points there...

I counted it.

If it's something you plan on continuing with, I would definitely put it down. The longer you volunteer somewhere, the better it looks on a college application. :)

YES! volunteer work looks better the sooner you begin! it will give them a better view of you to know that you've been volunteering for a long time.

Any volunteer work is good in the eyes of college admission offices.

sure, they love volunteer work. don't stop though repeat has much as possible. They feel like you are a responsible person who gives the most important thing your time and don't expect anything in return money. That is a quality that is hard to find in young children. Keep it up and thanks for helping
