Ok, one of them is when you call a place of business such as a hospital. You ask the operator to connect you to the room #, and she doesn't say "just a moment", or "I'll connect you" or anything. You just hear a click and wonder for a couple seconds if you've been cut off or if she is truly connecting you. Another pet peeve is explaining something to someone in the most simple and thorough way possible, and they simply hear what they want to hear and when they answer you they are asking you a question about something that you just explained to them. Ok, one more. I have a brother who loves to engage me in a conversation, and he will interact with me for a while, then he will suddenly just not respond to anything else I say or even answer questions. He will just make a chuckling noise but refuses to speak any words. He loves to be in charge of situations like conversations, and loves to reel people in and then just drop them. Weird but true.

I have a couple:
1) People who get all up in my space
2) People who mess with my food and my money (lately, I have found that many of my students will actually beg for my food- no matter what it is- they don't have any manners or don't seem to care how much I have or don't have - they will still ask for it,..and won't stop until I give them some. I am appauled at this behavior....my mom taught me that even if people asked you to "have some", you should say "No thank you".
3) Soon as I do the dishes, someone comes right behind me and messes up my kitchen
4) People who jump in my conversation and think they know everything about the subject and don't know what they are talking about.
5) Yahoo community people who don't hesitate to call black people the "N" word or say other nasty things about any other culture.

I have to list two because of where we are right now - on Yahoo Q&A
1. People who don't spell check!
2. People who ignore their kids in stores then blow up at them when the child keeps asking the same question. (A moment of tenderness early on would save all that.) Add that the parent is on a cell phone.... Well, I guess that would be #3 and you asked for one. LOL

I can't stand people who can't dribble with their head up and pass the ball. I also can't stand it when people don't box out and who do not cut and move without the ball. It is just bad basketball and not the way the game should be played.

On the phone they ask for so & so's phone number, I start to give the number, they say, "hold on, lt me get a pen."
On the radio, songs that repeat one verse over and over and over and over and over and over...
In the summer, women who wear flip flops and walk around making the loud flapping sounds.
Gosh, can anyone just give ONE answer?
