If you have broadband at both locations you can connect to your office system very easily.
You can use a paid service like GotoMyPC http://gotomypc.com which supplies a very secure VPN connection to your office computer from ANY remote system with a web connetion.

You can install and run your own "remote desktop" like VNC
or tightVNC http://www.tightvnc.com/ which allow you to remotely connect to your office computer from any web browser.

Those are the easiest if both ends have a good internet connection.

If you dont have internet at your home and want access then using a "wireless bridge" system will work but you need some really good gear not your off the shelf local store wireless. There are systems designed for that and can easily cover 2km. See http://defactowireless.com or http://echotechwireless.com or http://tranzeo.com for some higher powered complete bridge systems. These just replace a cable run between your office and home and your home system becomes part of the office network.
