No in the summer my eyes are more green and in the winter they are dull. Same with my dad he has black eyes in the summer and brown in the winter. Just the way the eye does....Maybe it's the tone of the skin that changes and makes the eyes look a different color

First of, in the light your pupil gets smaller since it cannot take that much light(you go blind). Anyway its probably some sunlight reflection in your eyes. Also nobody has black eyes!! There is very dark brown eyes though, which many(idiotically) assume it's black.

I think it all depends on the lighting. Then again, I don't think anyone is as close to your face as you are when you look in the mirror. At least people aren't telling you they change colors because that is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard, it's just the lighting.

It's just what happens in the sunlight. I've heard this same thing in my circle of friends before.

No more strange that if I wear green my eyes are green, if I wear blue they look blue.

My eyes are dark blue around the outside green in the middle and around my pupils are gold

Your eyes absorb more light in the sun, so your iris' contract and appear darker and smaller to protect your senses.

In darker areas that aren't so bright, your eyes open up more to absorb more light to make it easier for you to see. therefore, our eyes look different shades of colour depending on how open your iris' are.
