What is a good estimate in cost for a vacation for two to Hawaii. We want a cabin by the beach....and spend about 2 weeks there. So basically, I am asking for a price range. Anything would help! I have no clue. =( Thx!

I have been there 26 times, but not for the last few years. I would say people typically spend $2000-3000 per week for two people.
We were always more frugal. For a first trip, I would rent a condo for one week in Honolulu and a condo for the other week on one of the other islands. You need to rent a car on the other islands, but the buses in Honolulu are surprisingly good.
Hawaiian food is not that special. Enjoy a luau or two and some of the local lunch joints. Otherwise, eat like you would if you were vacationing in California. Most of the condos have good kitchen facilities and nice porches.
You do not want to be in the sun all day. We always took sightseeing trips at mid-day and did a little shopping in the evening.
