It was Nancy Mueller and it changed to Chelsea Noble. Why? Christians usually don't do that...

It is a well known fact that actors usually change or modify their names. Usually upon the request of their agents or the studio. (reasons from sounding more pleasant to more feminine or masculine that would match that actor or actress) Example: John Wayne (famous cowboy & tough guy from the 1940's thru the 1970's), his original name was "Marion Morrison". Who would take a a person seriously with a name like this playing a tough cowboy role? So this practice has been going on since 1940's Hollywood.

I didn't even know she did that.

However, what does changing your name have to do with being a christian? A lot of people change their names. They use stage names all the time.

And it doesn't bother you any, so why are you worried about it?

All kinds of people change their name. Some actors do it for more appeal. What difference does it make? A rose is still a rose by any other name...

She didn't change it to a 'fake name' ... she merely legally changed her name to one that she liked better ... or that she felt 'more comfortable wearing' ... God doesn't care about our NAMES ... he cares about our 'souls' ... that part of us that will 'go to Heaven' after we die. I changed my name in a court of law ... and God still answers my prayers ... and I feel far more comfortable as Kris (which is actually a Hindu sacrificial knife, and has nothing to do with Christianity at all, and I was 'given it' by a Vedantist Guru ... ) than I ever was as 'what was her name, anyway?'

I don't know why. Probably was a stage name, sounds more Hollywood than Nancy.
