I have been reading a lot about the Mayan Calander.

I have a new view on life now.

I think the treat is VERY real. It scares the crap out of me, don't call me crazy until you read into it because i'm not just pulling crap out of my butt.

I knew something was up when Bush signed the law on May 9th, 2007 stating if another 9-11 happens, or worse, that he will become dictator, the martial law will go into effect and the elections WONT go on. Hmmm, anyone ever curious as to why he would even think about signing that??

This all started with "big" Bush who in so many words wanted The New World Order to go into effect ASAP! Which is the whole world is under one government. You know who else wants this? Hillary Cliton and Barrack Obama (sp) .. dont believe me? Watch the Youtube debates!
Anyways, so president Bush is just following his dad.

I think they've scared us with 9-11 .. they are going to scare us again with an even bigger attack .. and i think this is all leading up to whats going to happen in 2012.

I think something else will happen before the elections, Bush will become dictator, the marial law will go into effect and i think they are just trying to control the population and get ready for something to happen in 2012, whether anything is going to happen or not, i dont know.

Any rude/immature/thoughtless answer will be reported AND deleted.

Please dont call me crazy .. please don't say things like "Bush never signed a dictator law" ... theres a link to it on the CNN website so please pay attention.

What are your SERIOUS views on 2012?

Having studied the Mayan calendar and their theory of social cycles for many years now, and looking at how rapidly we are becoming imbalanced as a society (national and global)....

I can easily see the next 4~6 years are being a major turning point where lots of things change. But even the prophecies of the Mayan and Christian mystics don't predict the outcome -- only that it will be a turning point one way or the other.

Umm that link does not lead to an official government site. It only gives a google search for unofficial sites claiming that Bush has signed a presidential directive supposedly authorizing himself to declare martial law and cancel elections. Unless such a directive has been officially published in the Federal Register, it is nothing more than an internal White House thought paper (assuming that it even exists). I did a quick search of the Federal Register and was unable to find such a directive.

People should be aware that during the Watergate era, Nixon considered declaring martial law and suspending Congress. He backed down when he was informed in no uncertain terms that the military would not follow such illegal orders. I think the same answer would apply today if Bush tried to suspend elections and shut down the state legislatures. Congress will convene in 2009, and they will count the votes of the duly chosen electors from the states and Bush will leave office January 20, 2009.

Bush will not declare martial law or implement any such directives without the approval of Congress, contrary to what has been stated on this issue. The directive to which you refer is not legal. If he were to do so it would be the end of the United States as we know it because the revolution would begin immediately following. The 2012 date is just the end of that calendar. In both cases you should not allow yourself to be paralyzed by irrational fears.

According to Hopi Indian legend (Hopi's are from the same moundbuilding culture as the Maya), the world has completely reversed direction on it's axis three times. Their legend refers to the "Four migrations of the Hopi" and they believe that there is one more reversal left and the world will end. The only ones who will survive are the Hopi.

There is much more to the legend...If you find the Maya interesting to study, try the other moundbuilder cultures still around today.

Can you provide the link for the CNN page and info on the Mayan calendar date? You did not mention as to why the date was significant on the Mayan calendar.

You could be right.

I believe in fighting to the end. Not compromising. We are America. If Jihadists want to mess with us, they need to die too. I back the Commander in Chief as only he has information we are not priviledged to have. He needs to be trusted. If he's wrong, his family and life are at risk as well.
The terrorist's love it when they disrupt unity of the American people. They use propaganda, drugs, they infiltrate and use our own system against us. All things that warriors do. Some sit on their thumbs and complain about things that have no value compared to the value of might and strength of our military and technological abilities.

2012 - Can only happen if we start trying to do the Presidents job. We must support him.

I decided long ago that the Mayans just got tired of writing on the wall and they figured that surely by 2012 somebody would have a better method of tracking dates.

2012 will be the start of Fred Thompson's second term, and I can't foresee any problems with Bush. I think the public would be outraged and have him removed form office/ dictatorship by force. Given that his statement in 2000 said, It would be easier if this were a dictatorship , as long as I was dictator. Scary stuff!
