spanky...have you ever yet asked a question that wasnt sexist, crude, ridiculous or just sick and wrong?...scientists should study your brain to find out whats going wrong up there~when you say 'concubine' i think u mean prostitute..no woman with your attitude is going to stay with you till shes old anyway~!

I think that's the first time I have ever heard anyone use the word "concubine" in a sentence in my life.
I HAD to look this up:
"Concubinage is the state of a woman or youth in an ongoing, quasi-matrimonial relationship with a man of higher social status. Typically, the man has an official wife in addition to one or more concubines. Concubines have limited rights of support as against the man, and their offspring are publicly acknowledged as the man's children, albeit of lower status than children born by the official wife or wives."
In other words, the kids are recognized as the male's bastard children.
On the other hand, I also found:
"Concubinus
In Roman times, this was the title of a young male who was chosen by his master as a bedmate."
Pretty risque stuff, there.
I guess if you can afford the kiddies,
and you live wherever they make concubines/concubinus' then go for it.....
I wonder what the HIV rate is among married couples whose husband indulges in "quasi-matrimonial relationships"?

In some country's yes. Does that make it right, do I agree with it, no. He should just live his life with any flaws that come into it, because it's called life and living. Besides, chances are the male only wants more children not to raise them, since the female tends to do that, but so that he can have that cute little baby again and watch it grow up. (Or something like that)... And I don't' think that's right or very moral either.
All 'N' all wouldn't you see it as immoral to have sex with another woman who isn't the man's wife?

it's okay for a man to have a concubine if he wants one whether his wife can have kids or not.
