In this particular tank I only have 2 female guppies with some other fish. both have had their fry once and never after that been exposed to a male? How is this?

Guppies like most livebearers has the ability to store sperm in their bodies, and are capable of multiple broods even without further contact with any male after the first brood.

Female guppies are basically always pregant, they were pregnant when you bought them and they can store sperm for 6 or so months. They are swimming baby making machines.

guppies dont lay eggs... they are live-bearers. A guppy has the ability to "store" sperm and can produce fry several times from just one contact with a male.

You probably bought them pregnant not only that guppies have a reservoir for male sperm to stay and they keep getting re pregnant, weird huh!

As some of the others already said, they are able to store sperm for up to 6 months, and can have babies every 28 days

Guppies, like many livebearers, stay fertile and can have babies for about a year (about one time per month) from just one fertilization. If you have new babies after that, they may be babies from your babies if you kept the sexes combined. Other livebearers include, Mollies, Platys and Variatus.

I don't know, I had guppies once and they wouldn't stop having babies.
What kind of otherr fish do you have with them?(platties?)
