Well i like the huggies. I used pampers at first, because that is what the hospital used. But they always leaked alot especially at night when she would wear them for long periods of time. Hope this helps.

Well, pampers were okay, but I love Huggies. They are a little more stretchy around the waist, which was a necessity for us because my daughter is long and skinny like a string bean (lol). My niece an nephew both had allergic reactions to Pampers, but that was 5-6 years ago. I personally cant stand Luvs, and only use them if it is the middle of the night and I NEED a diaper.
I have heard that once babies start crawling that pampers cruisers are excellent, but I have stuck with huggies. My daughter has been crawling for a month and the only leak she has ever had in huggies was today, but she had a VERY full diaper. She has had near blow-outs, but only if I dont get her diaper changed first thing in the morning (Her BMs are VERY regular... same time every day at least once). That being said, the only time I have ever had a leak or blowout it has been my fault.
I would buy a small pack of all that you are considering and try them out. You never know what will work for you unless you try 'em out. Good Luck!

I love them both for different things.
I think Pampers Swaddlers are the best baby diapers. They're softer and more clothlike than most other diapers which is nice for newborns. I've never had a problem with them leaking or anything else, but the largest they come in is a size 2-3, but all I can find at the places I shop are size 2.
My daughters grandma buys Pampers Cruisers for her house and uses them for my daughter when she's there. The only problem I have with them is the absorbent stuff inside them that turns to gel sometimes gets out of the inside part and gets on her skin. I buy the Huggies Supreme for her because I think they have the best fit with the stretch top and legs and I never have problems with leaks. I have bought the regular Huggies and do not like their fit and the tabs kept tearing off. I think for toddlers Huggies Supreme are the best diapers.

Personally - I love the costco brand diapers. They are less expensive than huggies and pampers and I have never had them leak. If you don't have a costco card- I prefer Pampers (especially the swaddlers and cruisers). Both my kids have soaked through Huggies quite easily and I have never had the problem with the other two brands. You can sign up at the pampers or huggies website and they will send you coupons if you choose one of those. When it comes down to it, though- every baby is different. I can't use a certain brand of diaper because my child breaks out in a horrible diaper rash. I guess just trial and error. Just as a side note- I also love the costco brand wipes- by far the best I have used.

I really think it depends on the baby. Each person I have asked seem to have different experiences and preferences. My favorite are the Pamper Cruisers. I have a 4 month old boy ( he wears size 3, he is 21 pounds 4 oz)who is breast feed only so he has really soft fully loaded stools. The only diaper I have used ( pampers swaddlers, huggies and luvs) that never leaks with his poopy is the Pamper Cruisers. Not to sound like I leave my baby in a soiled diaper for long but he only tends to go once a day at mid morning and its always so big and also a loud experience. Good luck in finding your best diaper.

We tried Huggies for about 2 weeks when my son was born. He had a really bad reaction to them and got a REALLY bad rash. Anyway, not all kids have problems with them, just giving you my personal experience.
My sister-in-law uses Pampers for my nephew and I hate them! I babysit him 5 days out of the week and it is just miserable when it comes to diapers. It is not that they leak much (only rarely). The problem I have found is that they have this netting on the inside that sticks to his skin when he pees more than once in them. He always gets rashes - It is crazy. They don't change his diapers because they don't believe the diapers could cause it. Trust me, I've tried to get them to change the brand.
Anyway, I use Luvs. My son is 22 1/2 months and has not had 1 diaper rash since the first one at 2 weeks old. I believe that he has been rash free because of using A&D Ointment (not the zinc oxide) and using the Luvs diapers.
Every child is different, so it all is up to trial and error.... But I have only heard of allergy/rash problems with Huggies & Pampers... Never with Luvs (but I guess there is a first for everything). :-)
Good Luck

I like pampers better. I always had leaks with Huggies. But honestly my favorite diaper is the walmart brand White Cloud. It is the only diaper that my son has never leaked out of EVER. It's also cheaper than expensive brands. Just because the price is more don't assume the diaper is better.

when my son was born I swore by Pampers...because his legs were so skinny...the Pampers were a better fit. But now that he is plumper = ) I use Huggies Supreme (red package-not the white one those are bad) they are the best! It feels double in thickness than Pampers.
Before the HUggies my son would leak through his diaper at night...but no more. (Huggies has an elastic stretch back...so everything stays in there)...but if your child is very skinny Pampers works better.

I prefer pampers over huggies... but truely I am a devoted LUVS fan. They are better I think or at least just as great as Pampers and are much easier on the pocket book! They are only about a $1-$2 more than the walmart brand... and they are wonderful diapers!

We prefer Huggies. With Luvs and Pampers, the tabs on them are attached to each side of the diaper. With Huggies, the tabs actually pull out some and stretch more. My brother (had 3 in diapers at once) has said the same thing.
