Well lets see now, when Bush took over from Clinton there was no deficit.

Clinton = Dem
Bush = Rep

The best way to cut deficit is to spur economic growth thereby increase the tax revenues.
Only choice is to vote in Rudy for president, he is not just talk but has the results to prove it. Being mayor of new york city is the second toughest job in the USA. He performed incredibly against all odds with democrats fighting him tooth and nail yet achieved miracles. Rudy Giuliani came into office of a near bankrupt New York City that was overtaxed with a huge budget deficit and a murder rate at near top in the nation. The upper and middle classes were fleeing because of the high taxes and high crime rates.
He proceeded to cut taxes, cut overbloated spending. increase police force precence on the street, consolidated the MTA subway police with the above ground police. He slashed abusive welfare spending by putting them to work sweeping the streets, cleaning our beaches and parks if they did not find a job in six months while on welfare. What happened? Almost overnight the welfare roles dwindled, deficit spending became budget surpluses because the renewed economic activity caused sales tax income to explode. President Bush recently proved again by slashing taxes not just for the rich but for all including the most poor (taking millions of them off the federal tax roles altogether!) the tax revenues ballooned and as a result the federal deficit is at the lowest it has ever been as a percentage of gross domestic profit. At this rate, if the Republican party succeeds in 2008, the budget deficit brought on after 9-11 is scheduled to turn into a surplus by 2012. Go Gop! Go Rudy!

If you want huge deficit spending with no benefit going to the American people but instead transferring large sums of taxpayers’ money to certain favored big corporations, then vote Republican.

It won't matter unless we can find someone to vote for who's a conservative economically. Even then we all need to watch our own spending if we want to survive what's bound to happen.
