We will have to see if he is convicted first. You do know Chi we are innocent until proven guilty. If he is found guilty I hope he spends everyday of his sentence behind Bars.He will not deserve a pardon.

Ok, Chi, I know you got it right, but many answerers didn't.
Bush did not pardon Scooter Libby. Bush commuted Libby's sentence. It was actually a brilliant move on Bush's part. A pardon is like saying, "Ok, you did it, but I choose to over ride the sentence. You're excused." If you are pardoned the guilty conviction stays and the matter is finished. It's not erased, but you can't go back to it -- it's final. Commutation is another matter. To commute a sentence is merely to "let someone out of jail". It is no judgement on guilt or innocence. This freed Libby up to fight the charges and have them dropped -- as they should be since there was no crime committed.

If this charge sticks this will be tied in the courts for a long time before there will be a verdict. IF a prosecutor wants to take this to trial then expect Gonzales to resign and all of this will be dropped.
Forget whether you are liberal or conservative Gonzales's performance on the hill this week was an embarrassment to this country. I wish that he would do the right thing and just resign.

For sure - you can't expect anyone rich and powerful to have to answer for a crime can you? You're probably one of those communists who believe people like Paris Hilton and Vick should go to jail just because the hold the laws of our country in contempt.
What is the point of being rich and powerful unless it places you above the law?
