Can ayone tell me what the black lagoon anime is about???

I just finished the last episode about 2 minutes ago. lol. And its one of my favorite anime. It rivals almost any ongoing anime or completed one, in my opinion.

Basically, theres a group of people who live in a city thats ran by criminals. Each fighting the other, sometimes becoming allies until they find a better one or no use for them, that type of mentality. The Lagoon company got a job where they kidnapped this guy, I forget his real name but his nickname for the entire show is Rock, and they end up not needing him. But the company he works for basically said he was dead to cover their own, so Rock ends up joining the Lagoon company. He goes from a perfect place, a simple life, to a criminal, chaotic place.

Black Lagoon basically follows the Lagoon company through jobs, and how they tie into larger groups like Hotel Moscow which is a Russian group of soldiers that were disbanded from the army after the Soviet Union fell, so they basically run things. And it shows some really cool characters and groups, like the Church of Pain. Basically psychotic nuns that ship illegal things covering as a religous group.

Also, its a gun style anime, but theres a few characters who have blades, and one who is a new age samurai. Its really interesting. Though it is rated R if you get the sub version. The main person who used weapons, Revy, swears alot when she gets mad, and its in English too. Which was kinda cool. They have Russian, Japanese, and English.

My only complaint is its short. They put alot of stuff into the...24 episodes...but the show has alot more potential then they allowed it to. The stopped it after 2 seasons, though it wasnt on a bad note so its all good.

I would recommend it, get the DVD quality version off of Isohunt or another torrent site. When you run it in VLC or Media Player you have to turn on the subtitles in the menu cause there not automatic. I learned that the hard way. Though season 2 is fan subbed, so its encodded in the video.

Well, hopefully this helps. I really didnt ruin that much of the story. Just gave the general idea. Lets say it gets really interesting when the show goes on.

i watched a couple of episodes and its about how some "pirates"(more hi tech) steal things from people or whatever. this business man(forgot his name) was kidnapped by them and then he helps them put and becomes one of them. seeems like a good anime to me. Levi's great.
