before i was like just ignoring it..but it doesn't go away....and if you say the honest truth that they suck...some 13 year old girl is going to rip your head off via internet. my question is: why don't all you MCR lovers expand your musical tastes first and then decide whether you love them or not???

Should there be a warning label on the CDs?

"Warning: Go and listening to other things before you listen to this. This way, you can make an educated decision about whether or not this sucks."

So, what kind of music do you listen to?

Hoooooray! Finally!

Here is what I think:

MCR are a FAD! Plain and simple. They are destined to go the way of all fads (Frisbees, Roller-skates, Whoopee Cushions, Limp Biskit)...down the toilet as soon as the next fad comes along to scam the 13 year olds out of the allowance their parents work so hard for! The members of the band will the have to go back to their previous jobs - White Castle, Sketchers Kids, Janitor at Washington Mutual!
I have tried to listen to their music but it just irritates me. I like melody and dynamics in music but MCR seem completely and willfully ignorant to such things. They are not very talented musicians or songwriters which is pretty bad considering they are so popular even if it is only with the 8 - 13 year old, Hot Topic demographic.
I wish Frank Zappa was still alive to see what he would have to say about these hacks. He would probably use the lyrics to one of his own songs:

You can hear the crashing, blasting strum
Of bands that come to be real hip
And get a record contract
From a talent scout some day
They'll sell their @ss, their cocks and balls
They'll take the check n walk away
If they're lucky they'll get famous
For a week or two perhaps
They'll buy some ugly clothes to wear
And hope the business don't collapse
Before some stupid magazine
Decides they're really good

(They AREN'T suck!!!!! Good to know that MCR fans can communicate so well - geez!)

I say, if you like MCR, fine. Whatever....

But if you actually think that they're "The Greatest Band in the World" and you're going around messaging people, and sending out your little thoughts, telling people how horrible they are because they don't like MCR, then you need to be shot.

Stop jamming your trendy $hit band down everybody's throats!!!

We don't want to hear it, we don't care, and NOBODY , especially that group, needs a DAY given to them. They let out how many albums??? two? three? That's hardly a success.

Sorry kids... You need to stop obsessing over those guys because you'll regret all the time you waisted on writing e-mails to people and the money spent on MCR products.

I hear ya, buddy; that bands been driving me up the wall all year (I don't care how many thumbs down I get for saying this).
I was soooo p*ssed off when Metal Hammer put them on the cover! Metal indeed! I don't see how anyone over the age of 15 could honestly like them, seriously.
To be fair, though, they're not actually any worse than anything else on MTV or whatever, it's just that they're so damn over-exposed and everyone's always on about how 'great' they are.....grrrr... gimme Dimmu Borgir any day. People gotta start listening to real rock...

i know that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but you shouldn't criticize their music. if you don't like them, simply don't listen to them, when they come up on the radio change the station and when they come up on t.v change the channel it's just that easy.
and i would like to let you know that i am 13 and i have listened to other bands i like them to but i like my chemical romance even more. it doesn't matter whether you're 13 or 30 if you have a good music taste then age is just a number=]
btw. mcr is not a FAD there will always be atleast one fan they won't go away till they break up!

Not a fan of MCR. But listening to mainly Metal is hardly broadening your music world...

I know you're trying to state your opinion about how you feel, but hell, you know what kind of answers your gonna get. Now I'm stating my opinion, and sticking up for My Chemical Romance- all you ppl just need to listen to your own music and not care wtf other ppl listen to. Because music is a beautiful thing, and (i know you hate to hear this) different ppl have different tastes, for the thousandth time! Yeah Ozzy is great, The Beatles are great, KISS is great, Poison is great, and every other hardcore band you can think of is perfectly fine. BUT- MCR, FOB, Silverstein, Escape the Fate, and all the new rock bands you probably hate- ARE GREAT. So just keep your sh!t to yourself and just deal with the fact that- yeah- TEENAGERS LOVE MCR. And I bet there are hundreds of ppl that can back me up.....

Heyhey, don't make generalizations about 13 year old girls. Some of us have actually semi-good taste in music. As for your question, their idea of "expanding musical taste" is to listen to Fall Out Boy, too. I know I'm gonna get a lot of thumbs down for this answer...too bad! :P

i hate it when people say that they have better musical taste than others!!!
music is not to bash on other bands they dont enjoy
music is about the only thing in the world that makes sense
just listen to what you want because 13 year olds might not have the same experience and effect that the music makes on them as a 30 year olds music
