it is hard to tell a person what to major in. This is something you need to look at within yourself. Ask yourself what do I enjoy doing? Is it working with kids, math, computers, ect? if you don't look at what you enjoy, you will end up in a job, or career that does not necessarily fit you, and you will be miserable. Good luck, and don't let anyone tell you what you ought to do, follow your heart.

Ok. What do you like? When you read - what kinds of books get your attention more than others? Most of the time, students decide on career choices based upon the things they enjoy doing. You might be a late starter and that's okay. Your school is probably going to have some kind of presentation of Career Day to help students see what's out there. When I was must younger - I knew I wanted to be a teacher. My decision was almost made for me because I lived in a family with two teachers, and my mom was a nurse. I knew I didn't want to be a nurse, but I had all the tendencies of a teacher - I liked to talk, I was good at writing, I spoke well, I liked to read, and I always graded my aunts papers, and wrote the students names in their rollbook. I even vacillated a little when I was in college - I thought about being a journalist - but I did not have any direction in that field - no mentor, no one to help me or talk to me about it - but teaching was always in the front. I also like to sing. Do you sing>? play an instrument? dance? Think about your hobbies - many times these are the golden moments which help us make the decision to know what we want to be. Don't worry about it - you'll find your place.....go on line and look at the many careers - who knows - you could be the one who finds the cure for HIV/Aids.
Good luck

Well I'm 14 and I'm about to be a sophomore in high school and I personally beleive that Buisness is always a good major. (That's what I am going for) Also keep in mind that 60% of people do not continue on with their major in their career(Said Eligio Martinez a UCLA High School Recruiter ) and that buisness will prepare you for alot of different fields anyway.

Well, I was all over with majors from political science to sociology to chemistry to biochemistry. If you like science and math, you're probably going to end up in physical science, biological sciences or engineering. If you like stuff like literature, probably English. I don't know, considering you're not in high school yet, it's hard to tell. Don't worry about it now.
