I always order my steaks "as rare as you can legally make it."
I'm pretty much a carnivore all the way (except for the occasional French fry or dinner roll). I'm not truly satisfied unless I battle my food to the death---to the winner goes the meat. Plus, I like to dip my steak fries in the resulting "blood gravy."
My wife thinks I'm crazy to order my steaks so rare. She prefers hers very well done.
