Gonzales should be --- because either he really doesn't know what's happening in the DoJ (incompetence) or because he's lied about it (felony). And if he isn't fired for doing this, he should be impeached for this.
It's not a partisan issue -- it's purely based on competence and integrity in office.

Perhaps overly loyal. As far as punishment, it is way too early for that. He has not been convicted of anything so is, as of this time, inocent. If he is convicted, I'm sure just punishment will be applied. The vast majority of Americans are dumber then President Bush - very few can master the complications upon complications of flying a fighter jet so it is likely that Sec't of Justice Gonzalez is not as smart as President Bush.

Unless the dubya pen comes in to play (which I am waiting to happen at any moment - like Libby), he will be put before an independent investigation for perjury. He should do himself and us a favor and step down. The first domino in the dubya regime to fall.

He is obviously much smarter than Bush, there is no way that Bush could last even 5 minutes under that kind of questioning. The Bush administration is incompetent but worse, it is also totally corrupt. The only one who can fire him is Bush so that probably won't happen any time soon. If Bush fires him, his secrets can't be hidden any more.
