JOINT: z = 5xy

Direct y = kx where k is the constant of variation
Inverse y= k/x
Joint y = kxz [ yvaries directlly as the product of the two variables x and z]

Comined: y = kx/z [y varies directly with respect to one variable and inversely with respect to another variable.]
