Earlier today i was out with my step dad and we ran into some snotty middle school girl and she was wearing really short shorts. After we were away from her my step dad said "Her shorts where so short that you could see what she had for breakfast this morning." Besides from pointing out that the shorts where too short what did he mean by that? Like what did her breakfast have to do with her shorts? I feel stupid for asking but i really want to know. its been bugging me since.. thanks~

it's a stupid saying, i think he meant yo could see her azz. and that's where your breakfast goes when you done with it.

It's what I call a goofy throw-away line. It doesn't REALLY mean anything, but the "joke," if there is one is that the shorts were sooooo short that they reveal more than shorts should ever reveal. So, he came up with something REALLY revealing, like being able to see into her stomach?
While not funny, do you at least get it?

I am assuming that he meant something along the lines of- Her shorts were so short that you could almost see up to her stomach, but that doesn't make all that much sense, I would personally just let it go, us guys say the stupidest things at times.

Its a crude way of saying "that if she had bent over you would not only see her hiney, but what she had for breakfast as well".
The first time I heard this I had to ask, causing much giggling by those around me, and the above is what I was told.
It is a common Aussie term

it was just saying her shorts were ridiculously too short for her..thats all it meant....they probably barely covered her crouch.....
