To me.. gray is beautiful. It's the sky when it snows.. a road leading somewhere... the color of soaring architecture... and my father's loving eyes. Brown is forever... it's trustworthy... the richness of the soil... the bark of a tree... a galloping horse.... my favorite shoes. Black is sleekness and mastery.. confidence and mystery.. the infinite night. But blue stands alone... forbidding... an icy stare... the North wind ....the opposite of joyous yellow.... cold and lonely... music filled with pain... teardrops... and the blues. Of course, so much of this is cultural... and subjective... and fun! Thank you... great question.

When you're earlier responders are talking grey -- they're talking the kind of loneliness you get on some Saturday when all your friends are somewhere else and you've got nothing but the TV screen for company !!
When you're talking REAL loneliness, you're talking deep, very deep blue -- take a listen to the John Lee Hooker end of the world --- then there is that "continental shelf" drop off from there that slides deep blue into the purest BLACK that one can imagine !!! And, when that deepest Black becomes like a velvet wrap that is tucked neatly around you like a body glove --- and it has been there long enough to be like a friend and "comforter" TO you --- NOW, you know Lonely !!!!

this question is completely subjective. cultural, social, and individual aspects form biases of what a color means. obviously, many people link blue to sadness and loneliness and very negative emotions. but for many others, in numerous other cultures, it could signify love and happiness. even in western culture, why do you think a bride must wear something blue?. (it represents love)
so, since this question cannot be answered objectively, i'll say that the color of lonliness is yellow

Yep! Gotta Go Grey, with maybe a hint of blue and a nice discreet brown undertone.

I dont think it really has a colour.... it more comes from whats inside... get some paints out when you are feeling lonely and paint a picture.... which colour did you use most?
