Where exactly can i find a moon stone on Pokemon Diamond?

I found most of them underground but they are the rarest stones to find along with water and leaf stones.

You could find them underground, trading with someone, or finding them by the pokemon called "Cleffa" or Clefairy". Go to this website to find more items or more details about moon stones.

The only places you can find them are underground (they are black and kind of big) or wild cleffa and clefairy can be holding them. You can find cleffa and clefairy in the area of the mountain below the spear pillar.
