my answer is 2a^2(b^3+3ab^2+2a^2
but im wrong may you correct me.

It looks right to me.

4a^4 + 6a^3b^2 + 2a^2b^3
2a^2 ( 2a^2 + 3ab^2 + b^3 )

4a^4+6a^3b^2+2a^2b^3 = 2a^2 ( 2a^2 + 3ab^2 + b^3 )
so you are correct, just that you have the 1st and last term switched and missing the right bracket at the end
