i can increase its chances of happening by thinking about it.
once the first inkling of an idea occurs, thought becomes devious - even though i'm not consciously putting forth the effort to will it into being, my mind might be subconsciously scheming ways to steer me towards that goal. i'll be unaware the whole while - honest - until it falls right in my lap and i'll be astounded at the 'curious coicidence' that just occurred. again.
have you ever found yourself doing the same thing again and again, and not knowing why? isn't there some thought pattern going on below the surface? coincidence, or deliberate?

As the second part of the equation let me answer your question by saying it backwards:
Nothing happens until you think about it.
Or as Carl Sandburg said:
"Nothing happens unless first a dream."
Can you make something happen with absolutely no steps in between your thought process and the action occurring before your eyes? Because I think that's really what you are asking.
I think when this happens, it is so hard to prove that it doesn't become accepted into popular thought. Could it be what some call miracles? It obviously doesn't happen on a daily basis (otherwise I'd be using my 'Jedi' mind powers to get me all sorts of things) so perhaps it takes some kind of knack, or as the Taoists say, 'wu wei' - an innate ability that one simply has or doesn't have, a skill that calls out to you rather than the other way around.
But I think it would be foolish to say it's impossible, nay to say anything's impossible. People often forget the true nature of the scientific method. In law, (at least under the US constitution's law) you are innocent until proven guilty, and in science, something can be true unless someone has proven without a doubt that it isn't true - and even scientific laws are under constant suspicion. After all, wasn't Pluto a planet a few years ago? It certainly was in my grade-school textbooks and I'm not that old.
I know many true scientists, my father himself being a 'rocket scientist' working for NASA, and they are much more dreamers than people give them credit for. At my father's company there is a science fiction book club, and many people in his office dream of the day when some of the stories they read can become reality - after all Jules Verne seemed to have predicted the future quite clearly (see: 10,000 Leagues Under the Sea).

Apparently you can. I was told in my college psychology class that there are people that can control their own bodies really well. My professor told us a story of a man that had pins stuck through him and he didn't bleed or feel any pain. But it requires a LOT of concentration, I am sure. I don't know if that applies to external happenings (like using the force in Star Wars), but it might be possible. I think in order for that to happen, you would have to been REALLY in-tune with nature and how it works, not like knowing what everything is exactly, but be able to sense how things interact and how what you do affects everything around you. Just some food for thought!

I think you can increase the probablity of your desired outcome by thought as has been demonstrated at Princeton University (http://www.princeton.edu/~pear/)
However, it depends on how complex the desired action. For instance if your at the casino willing your slot machine to pay off then it is probably competing with many others wanting the same thing for their machine. If you got everyone at the Casino to concentrate on one machine paying off it might increase the probability. I don't think Vegas Casinos are in any danger of going broke though.
Also, I think your odds also improve when you take action toward a goal. No matter how much I wish to win the lottery it's not going to happen unless I buy a ticket.

First of all, believing in God isn't ONLY what you have to do. Satan and demons also believe in God, but they aren't in Heaven today. You have to recognize that you are a sinner, and that Jesus, the only perfect person that walked on this Earth, died in your place so you could someday be in Heaven. So it is A LOT more than believing in God. Do some more research on that. =] Secondly, if you are a Christian and commit suicide, you still would go to Heaven. Nobody on this Earth is perfect. Everybody sins whether they like it or not. However, you will be severely judged for it because by killing yourself AS A CHRISTIAN, you are basically murdering one of God's children. So saying that "suicide is a sin, therefore you won't go to Heaven" is wrong. Even though I do agree that it is a major sin, Jesus died on the cross for that sin, and every other sin that you commit.. You still will go to Heaven if you are a Christian and commit suicide, but you will most definitely be judged. Hope this helps.

Yes.
Don't you see? Most people are creating their lives. Everything they wished for are happening.
They want money. They want love. They want friends. They want success. They are making true what their minds believe.
They are in the process of wanting. Not in having, mind you, but in wanting.
See the power of their minds.
When you pray, saying "Lord, give me this and that..." you are telling the universe that you are lacking this and that. So it will create you in a reality lacking this and that. But if you say and really believe "I have everything I need now," the universe will create you in a reality having everything you need.
You are already willing things just by thinking about them.

I have been willing the "Casino God" to let me win a jackpot for the last three years, and I haven't won yet. I've been thinking about owning a 1955 Thunderbird for the past 50 years, but I am still no closer than I was to owning one than I was when I was 16. My husband has been willing the "Lottery God" to allow him to win a million dollar lottery for the past 30 years; but he hasn't won yet.
No, I do not think you can will something to happen just by thinking about it.

Probably not (though the Japanese have made a model train that is controlled by thought).
People only consciously use about 10% of their brains so if we were able to tap into the other 90% then maybe...
