Yes, mostly children are drawn to people that look like their parents. They did this experiment that we saw in psychology (sorry I don't have the link) where they would put infants in front of a big computer screen and flash pictures of random women. They would always smile or reach out for the women that resembled their mothers. They also did this with a group of children in grade school asking who they thought was beautiful. They all described women that looked like their mom. As for when babies cry and they stop when you look at them: I noticed this happens to me too. I don't think it's any energy or anything super-natural. I think that I confuse the babies into forgetting what they were crying about in the first place. I think of it this way... you're crying, hungry, lonely, and your mom isn't taking you home... why the HELL is that weird lady looking at me and not doing anything? I've never seen her before... maybe she has food. Another thing that I read about was body language. If you're nervous around a child they can see it (as we all can, subconsciously or not). Children love me because I'm not afraid of them (which may sound ridiculous to you, who's afraid of babies?). My sister, however, tenses up a lot around children and they can tell. Every time she's handed a child they cry. Does it mean she's a bad person? Of course not! She's just uncomfortable and tense! No one wants to be around someone like that, baby or not. So I think it comes down to: how you look, being a stranger that isn't threatening, and your overall body language and how approachable you are.

I would draw a small child looking out the window at a really stormy gray sky. You wouldn't see the child's face, only the back of their head.

A heart. Because I'm really sad today that the one I love is far from me. She's going home to visit her family and relatives. And I just can't do anything to go with here. Sadly, she doesn't know about it.
