You always hear "Shiites vs Sunnis" on the news and nearly all of us know the difference between them. Do you think this is the case for Iraqis regarding democrats and republicans? Do they know about the clashes between our political parties? Or do they just pretty much see us all as Americans?

I would think that as they dodge car bombs and suicide bombers, there's not that much time to concern yourself with dems and reps. Also constant power outages just don't make for good tv viewing!

I think they pretty much see us as American infidels who began an unjustified war. Regardless of the clashes between the 2 parties, the results have thus far been the same. So I think they are only interested in results which affect them.

You can not compare the Democrats and Republicans with Shiites vs. Sunnis. They don't murder their opponents. We are a democratic country and cherish the freedom of speech we have.
It is probably very difficult for the Iraqis to understand our system of Government, since they have gone from Saddam's atrocities to a Civil War.

Demoblicans and Republocrats? There's no difference between the "two" capitalist-fascist-terrorist parties. Nancy Pelosi is nothing more than George W. Bush's Eva Braun.

It is doubtful if Iraquis have time to worry about such things. To them all Americans are Americans. And most Americans don't know the difference between Shias and Sunnis. To them all Moslems are Moslems.

I think most Iraqi's see us as ONE People- who are NOT very good at Electing good Leaders (which is ONE of the reasons WHY- they're VERY sceptical about adopting Democracy in their Country). And judging from the guy we helped get into Office in THEIR Country now, -they could be right! :0

I think they see us all as Americans. After all, republicans and democrats aren't killing each other daily. At least not yet.
